Pug Rescue Transformations

Welcome to the heartwarming transformation stories of three incredible pugs whose lives were forever changed by the Pug Rescue of Austin. In the midst of adversity, we opened our arms to these pups, giving them a second chance at a happy, healthy life. These stories are a testament to the power of love and care.

Kermit - The Mange Survivor

Kermit was rescued from the San Antonio shelter at 11 weeks old, his little body suffering from severe mange. But our dedicated team wasn't deterred by the challenges. We provided the care and affection Kermit needed, and today, he's a shining example of resilience. During his recovery, he won the heart of our Foster/Adoption Director, Debbie, and he became a permanent part of her grumble!

Chutney - The Brave One-Eyed Pug

Chutney, another incredible soul, came to us at just 9 weeks old from the San Antonio shelter. His story is one of strength and perseverance. Chutney had both eyes proptosed, and while one had to be removed, the other was saved, though non-visual. Chutney's spirit remained unbroken, and he's now a spirited, playful pug, eager to embrace life. Chutney is currently on a trial adoption visit and we hope that he has found his forever family!

Pistachio - The Survivor of Neglect

Pistachio, rescued from the Cibolo shelter near San Antonio, had endured severe neglect and malnutrition when we rescued him at 10 months old. It was a challenging road to recovery, but with love, nourishment, and proper care, Pistachio now thrives. He was adopted and never has to worry about being hungry again with his forever family!

The stories of Kermit, Chutney, and Pistachio are just a glimpse of the incredible work we do at the Pug Rescue of Austin. But we need your support to continue saving lives.
