What does it mean if my application to adopt or foster has been put on hold?

If your application to adopt or foster has been put on hold this means that the screening team is missing vital information and is unable to move forward with your screening. The needed information is often proof of consistent heartworm prevention or vet care for the last 3 years, but can also be incomplete or incorrect information given on the application.

Once the requested items are received a screener will continue with your screening. If information is not submitted your application will be held in "on hold" status.
